Grew up in Spartanburg. Lived in Fernwood for a number of years as a child. Returned to Spartanburg in 1986 to practice business and education law with Frank Lyles (now Lyles, Darr & Clark, LLC) and have lived on Beechwood Dr. since 1992. Have been actively involved with local non-profits such as First Presbyterian Church, the Children’s Advocacy Center, and USC Upstate Foundation. Married to Margaret who teaches first grade at Pine St. School. 3 grown, married children: Andrew and his wife, Neely, live in Spartanburg; Rebecca and her husband, Kyle, and our two grandsons live in NYC; and Kirk and his wife, Meredith, live in Honolulu.
Lisa Shea has worked for Gowan Appraisal Service, Inc. since 2007. She is married to Mike Shea. They live on Emory Drive. There two grown children are Sydney and Will.
Cecile, her husband Chris, and twins Helen and Will, have lived in Fernwood since 2004. Cecile teaches psychology at Wofford and volunteers as a therapist at St. Luke's Free Medical Clinic. She enjoys cooking, knitting, and hiking.
Thomas Webster moved to Fernwood in 1984, and lived on Overland Drive until graduating from Spartanburg High School. He contends that, during his youth, he cut or raked nearly every yard in the neighborhood. In 2006, he authored Cottonwood Trail, published by Hub City Press, and, in 2016, he and his family moved into a house on Beechwood Drive that overlooks the Edwin M. Griffin Nature Preserve. He is the husband of Bonnie Webster and the father of three - Ella, Mae, and Finch.
